The NRC registration process in Myanmar is conducted entirely in person at your designated township immigration and civil registration office. • Background is off-white, cream, or carries a shadow — only pure white (#FFFFFF) is accepted; coloured studio backgrounds are a frequent cause of refusal
• Glasses present — even thin prescription frames are not allowed under the current NRC and smart-card photo rules
• Incorrect face-to-frame ratio — a face filling less than 71% or more than 80% of the frame height fails the biometric check
• Non-religious headwear, or religious headwear that partially covers the forehead, eyebrows, or chin line
