This photo must be taken by an accredited service
For this document, Guinea does not accept a self-prepared photo. By law it must be captured on site by an authorised service and submitted electronically, so we cannot produce a submittable file for it. The official specification is shown below so you know exactly what to expect at your appointment.

A document photo is a headache of its own
A Guinea Passport photo has strict requirements, and a mistake costs time and money. We’ll show you how to pass on the first try.
It gets rejected
Wrong size, background or cropping — and the system returns the application.
Expensive and slow
A trip to a photo studio means a queue, time and €7–12 for a reshoot.
Confusing requirements
Exact size, head height, light background, facial expression — easy to get wrong.
Redo it all over
Rejected — take another photo, pay and submit again. Round and round.

We remove the background and clutter, set the framing and lighting — keeping your face without «beautifying».
Your face stays yours — we do not change features, only the background, lighting and framing.
Your Passport photo: what matters
A compliant Guinea passport photo follows the biometric standard enforced by the Ministere de la Securite Publique et de la Protection Civile in Conakry. The format is precise: a 35x50 mm colour image (413x591 px) on a plain white background, with the face centred, well lit and neutral. Getting these proportions exactly right is what separates an accepted enrolment from a rejected one.
What makes Guinea distinctive is the strict head-sizing. The head must measure roughly 36 mm - about 72% of the frame height - with around an 8% clearance above the hair to the top edge. This is tighter than many neighbouring standards: too much empty space above the head, or a face cropped too large, is a common reason files are bounced. The background must be pure white (#FFFFFF) with no shadows, no cream or pale-grey tints, and no texture from a wall behind you.
- Size: 35x50 mm (413x591 px), colour
- Background: plain white #FFFFFF, evenly lit, no shadows
- Face height: fills 66-76% of the frame (head ~36 mm)
- Expression: neutral, mouth closed, eyes open and looking straight ahead
- Glasses: allowed only if eyes are fully visible with no glare or tint
- Headwear: not permitted, except plain religious head covering that leaves the full face visible
- Recency: taken within the last 6 months and reflecting your current appearance
- Common reasons photos are rejected in Guinea:
- Head sized incorrectly - too small with excess space above, or cropped too large, breaking the 72% rule
- Off-white, grey or shadowed background instead of pure white
- Tinted lenses or reflections hiding the eyes behind glasses
- Smiling, open mouth, or head tilted rather than a level neutral pose
You can prepare a flawless reference image here: upload your own picture and it is automatically cropped to the exact Guinea standard - correct dimensions, white background and head proportions - so you know precisely how a compliant photo must look. Please note an important point of honesty: for the biometric Guinean passport, the photo and fingerprints are captured digitally on-site during your appointment (or by an authorised photographer with secure upload). A self-made or downloaded photo is therefore generally not accepted as the submission. Use this tool to check the standard, prepare confidently for your enrolment, or for other personal and visa-style needs.
