Your Passport photo: what matters
A Cameroon passport photo that gets accepted on the first submission has to match the biometric specification used by the Délégation Générale à la Sûreté Nationale (DGSN), the authority that issues the country's biometric passport. Upload an ordinary photo and it is automatically cropped, sized and corrected to that exact standard, so the head position, framing and white background all fall within the official tolerances.
Cameroon has an unusual requirement that catches many applicants out: when you attend your appointment you are asked to bring seven printed photographs for the file, in two different sizes. The set is made up of four 40x40 mm square photos and three 40x50 mm photos, all on a plain white background with no hat. Even though your fingerprints and a live portrait are captured on-site at the enrolment centre, the self-supplied printed photos are still accepted and kept in your dossier, so they must be correct. The framing is tight: the head should fill roughly 75% of the frame (about 34 mm) with an 8% margin above the hair.
