An Armenian passport photo only works when it matches the precise standard set by the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Republic of Armenia (RA). The agency requires two identical colour photos sized 35x45 mm on a plain white background, with the face filling 70-80% of the frame. Get those proportions right and your application moves forward without a return trip.
The Armenian standard is unusually precise about head geometry. The head should measure roughly 34.5 mm from chin to crown, leaving about a 3 mm margin between the top of the head and the upper edge of the photo. For online submission through the biometric passport system, the file must be JPG or PNG up to 120 KB, while printed copies are expected at 600 DPI. These thresholds trip up most home attempts: a phone snapshot is usually too large, badly centred, or shot against a grey wall.
