A document photo is a headache of its own

A Bahamas Passport photo has strict requirements, and a mistake costs time and money. We’ll show you how to pass on the first try.

      It gets rejected

Wrong size, background or cropping — and the system returns the application.

      Expensive and slow

A trip to a photo studio means a queue, time and €7–12 for a reshoot.

      Confusing requirements

Exact size, head height, light background, facial expression — easy to get wrong.

      Redo it all over

Rejected — take another photo, pay and submit again. Round and round.

«PhotoID24 does it all for you: upload an ordinary photo — get a ready file exactly matching the official requirements.»

      In detail

      Your Passport photo: what matters

A Bahamas passport application succeeds or stalls on one detail many applicants overlook: the photo. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of The Bahamas sets a strict ePassport photo standard, and the staff at the Passport Office check it closely before they accept your file. The goal here is simple — a photo built to that exact standard so it clears review the first time.

The Bahamian rule carries a peculiarity most countries do not have: you must supply three identical prints, and one of them must be countersigned in Section 10 of the application form by an approved guarantor who attests the likeness is a true image of you. The image must be a sharp 2x2 inch (51x51 mm) colour photo at 600 dpi on a plain white or off-white background, taken within the last six months. Your full face must be visible — hairline and both ears showing — with a neutral expression, mouth closed and teeth not shown.

      • Size: 51x51 mm (1205x1205 px), 600 dpi colour print
      • Background: plain white / off-white (#FFFFFF)
      • Face height: fills 50-69% of the frame, full-face, hairline and ears visible
      • Expression: neutral, mouth closed, teeth not shown
      • Glasses: not allowed
      • Headwear: prohibited unless for medical or religious reasons with prior written approval
      • Recency: taken within the last 6 months
      • Common reasons Bahamas passport photos are rejected:
      • Only one or two prints submitted, or none countersigned in Section 10 by an approved guarantor
      • Tinted, grey or cream-toned background instead of true plain white / off-white
      • Hair covering the hairline or ears, or a head covering worn without prior written MOFA approval
      • Glasses left on, a slight smile showing teeth, or a low-resolution print below 600 dpi

Skip the guesswork. Upload a normal photo and it is automatically cropped, sized and balanced to the exact MOFA ePassport standard — correct dimensions, true white background and the right head proportions. You see a free watermarked preview before paying anything. Every photo is backed by an acceptance guarantee: if it is rejected, we redo it free or refund you. You print three copies, have one countersigned in Section 10, and submit with confidence — pay only for the final file once it fits.

      How we get it right

How we make your Passport photo meet the official standard — Bahamas, 51 × 51 mm

Every photo is prepared against the official requirements for your document — not a generic template. Here is what that means in practice:

      • 1We crop and size your photo to the exact millimetre and pixel dimensions the authority requires.
      • 2We check the background, head position, gaze and lighting, and flag glasses or head coverings that are not allowed.
      • 3We match the rules to the specific document and country, citing the official source of those requirements.
      • 4If anything does not meet the standard, you get a free re-do or your money back.

      No more doubts

A digital photo is normal, and it gets accepted — Bahamas, 51 × 51 mm

You do not need a trip to a studio. Authorities accept any Passport photo that meets the official requirements — what matters is the standard, not where the photo was made. We match that standard exactly.

      The standard is what counts

Officials check your photo against the rules — size, background, head position and lighting — not where you took it.

      Part of official processes

Many passport, visa and ID services let you upload a digital photo or submit a print — both are fine when they meet the spec.

      Same result as a studio

We prepare your file to the exact official measurements, so it is accepted just like a professional studio photo.

      And you are covered

If a photo is ever rejected for not meeting the requirements, we redo it for free or refund you.

Common questions about Bahamas Passport photos

What size is a Bahamas passport photo?
It must be a 2x2 inch (51x51 mm) colour photo at 600 dpi, with a plain white or off-white background. Your face should fill roughly 50-69% of the frame height.
How many photos do I need for a Bahamas passport?
MOFA requires three identical prints. One of the three must be countersigned in Section 10 of the application form by an approved guarantor confirming your likeness.
Can I wear glasses in my Bahamas passport photo?
No. Glasses are not allowed. Remove them before the photo so your eyes are fully visible, with a neutral expression and your mouth closed.
      Is a head covering allowed?
Head coverings are prohibited unless worn for medical or religious reasons, and only with prior written approval from MOFA. Your hairline and both ears must remain visible.
How recent does the photo need to be?
It must be taken within the last six months so it reflects your current appearance. An outdated photo is a common reason for rejection.
When do I pay, and what if the photo is rejected?
You see a free watermarked preview first and pay only for the final file. Thanks to the acceptance guarantee, if your photo is rejected we redo it free or refund you.
