- Background: plain white (#FFFFFF) — no shadows, no gradients, no patterns
- Face coverage: 70–80 % of the full frame height
- Expression: neutral, mouth closed, both eyes open and clearly visible
- Glasses: not permitted — remove all eyewear, including clear-lens frames and lightly tinted lenses
- Headwear: not permitted — hats, caps, scarves, and any head covering are forbidden (religious exceptions may be requested directly at the centre)
- Recency: the photo is captured on the day of application, so it is always current by definition
Common reasons biometric photos are rejected at Paraguayan licence centres:
- Glasses of any kind — even thin frames or barely tinted lenses fail the biometric scan under municipal rules
